About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of feasibility, preliminary design and final design cost estimates for multidisciplinary railway projects
- Assess on and off site materials, monthly payment certificates and package final accounts
- Monitor anticipated final project costs and make recommendations for monthly payments or final accounts
- Undertake or review measurement of designs and on-site works completed
- Develop the schedule of rates or Bill of Quantities
- Manage a team of Intermediate Cost Managers/Quantity Surveyors
Requirements
- 10 years of experience, with at least 3+ years in transport infrastructure focusing on multidisciplinary railway projects
- Degree (C Eng / BEng / BA / BSc) in cost management, quantity surveying, estimating management or related discipline
- Strong understanding of construction contract commercial documents, drawings, and specifications
- Experience delivering technically complex and high value infrastructure projects
- Experience in a consultancy, client, or contractor environment
- Knowledge of cost management principles, methods, techniques, and tools
