Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary client interface for a major, multi-phase data center campus construction program.
• Develop and manage cost plans and estimates through design and delivery phases.
• Review and validate estimates with design teams and general contractors.
• Estimate, negotiate, and reconcile change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Manage post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and contingency allocations.
• Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations to drive fair contract values.
• Produce monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and funding data presentations.
• Provide commercial input into design optioneering and value engineering exercises.
• Mentor and coach team members to support professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in a cost management or quantity surveying role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience leading cost management on large or complex construction projects, such as campus or multi-site programs.
• Strong knowledge of construction delivery, procurement routes, cost controls, and change management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction consultancy.
• RICS accreditation or active progress toward certification.
