Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Perform cost reviews, estimate requests, and develop cost plans through the design phase
• Manage cost controls, change management, and quantity surveying throughout the project lifecycle
• Analyze existing cost data to produce benchmark information and weekly client reports
• Meet and negotiate costs with contractors and lead negotiations to drive fair contract prices
• Provide input into value engineering exercises and inform engineering priorities based on cost impact
• Manage cost checks, valuations, contingency management, and commitment tracking logs
• Coordinate all sources of cost information, including suppliers, subcontractors, and design teams
• Prepare funding data presentations and monthly cost reports for client presentation

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a construction cost management role
• Degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• Experience working on large-scale data center projects or similar complex developments
• Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value engineering
• Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision in a client-facing capacity

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or currently working towards accreditation
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large-sized construction projects of high complexity
