Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates through design and delivery phases.
• Produce monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and funding data for stakeholders.
• Lead procurement strategy development, pricing reviews, and commercial negotiations.
• Manage change control, including reviewing, estimating, and negotiating change orders.
• Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning, and contingency management.
• Coordinate cost, schedule, and scope alignment with project controls and delivery teams.
• Act as the primary client interface to ensure service excellence and objective alignment.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to foster a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in cost management or project controls on large-scale construction projects.
• Regular onsite presence required in York County, NC (near Charlotte).
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and campus-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency with industry-standard cost management tools and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mission-critical, industrial, or data center environments.
• Previous experience in construction consultancy.
• RICS accreditation or active progress toward certification.
