Senior Cost Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates by analyzing record drawings, specifications, and existing conditions
• Integrate schedule, risk, complexity, and cost into estimates
• Utilize top-down estimating and manage WBS
• Review and analyze prior bids to establish projected unit costs
• Track unit production rates and construction costs
• Supervise or mentor junior staff to resolve project controls issues
• Conduct field visits and coordinate with the Advanced Capital Planning Unit

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with seven years of full-time experience in general construction estimating
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., civil engineering or architecture credits)
• Minimum of two years of full-time satisfactory experience in general construction estimating
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BIM, virtual design and construction, and reality capture
• Proficiency in advanced analytics and project management information systems
• Experience with quantity take-offs and data analysis tools
