Senior Cost Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for large-scale projects
• Monitor project financials, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions
• Provide expert advice on cost management practices and methodologies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project execution strategies and financial planning
• Review and validate contractor invoices, change orders, and claims
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and evaluate project risks and opportunities
• Lead cost reporting efforts for management and clients
• Mentor junior cost engineers and ensure adherence to project standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in cost engineering
• Significant experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) roles
• Deep understanding of estimating, budgeting, and cost control
• Proficiency in cost management software and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is a significant advantage
