Senior Cost Controller

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts
• Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates
• Provide cost information to support decision making and alternative selection
• Evaluate and analyze fee proposals and bids
• Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis
• Maintain and manage cost reports and provide regular updates on financial position
• Assist in the development, validation and maintenance of project schedules
• Develop reporting tracking tools and generate cost reports including earned value evaluation
• Build intricate spreadsheets for fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets
• Extract, transform, and reconcile data from several sources to ensure accuracy and audit trails
• Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry
• Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
• Strong communication skills

• Construction consultancy experience
