Senior Cost Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project budgets, baseline cost plans, and cost breakdown structures
• Track and monitor project expenditures, commitments, and cost-to-complete values
• Analyze variances between actual costs, budgeted costs, and forecasted values
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries
• Evaluate cost impacts of variations, change orders, and design modifications
• Review subcontractor and supplier cost proposals for accuracy and compliance
• Utilize ERP and cost management software to maintain accurate cost data
• Coordinate with project managers, planners, and finance departments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related field
• 12–15 years of experience in cost control within the contracting or construction industry
• Strong background in large-scale civil, infrastructure, or MEP projects
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and cost control software (e.g., Primavera, SAP, Oracle)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and project control tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional), PMP, or RICS
