Senior Cost Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project budgets, baseline cost plans, and cost breakdown structures (CBS).
• Track and monitor project expenditures, commitments, and cost-to-complete values.
• Analyze variances between actual costs, budgeted costs, and forecasted values to identify risks.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for management review.
• Evaluate cost impacts of variations, change orders, and design modifications.
• Review subcontractor and supplier cost proposals and monitor their cost performance.
• Utilize ERP and cost management software to maintain accurate project data.
• Coordinate with project managers, planners, and finance departments to communicate cost risks and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related field.
• 12–15 years of cost control experience within the contracting or construction industry.
• Extensive experience with large-scale civil, infrastructure, or MEP projects.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and various ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera, SAP, or Oracle.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional), PMP, or RICS.
