Senior Cost Control Consultant

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control costs to ensure the financial health of major data center construction projects
• Manage cash flow, pay applications, and change management processes
• Lead the review and commercial challenge of general contractor and trade partner pay applications and change requests
• Own forecast-at-complete and estimate-at-completion reporting, including variance analysis
• Maintain an auditable cost control environment across commitments, changes, accruals, and invoices
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control systems
• Collaborate with project managers, finance, and procurement teams for accurate invoicing and budgeting
• Conduct risk assessments and implement management protocols
• Prepare detailed monthly cash flow reports and narratives for client review
• Document and assess changes to project scope, schedule, or budget

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years in cost-focused project controls or cost management
• 3+ years of experience on large-scale construction projects
• Proximity to Monroe, LA or willingness to work onsite in Holly Ridge, LA 5 days a week
• Demonstrated experience reviewing contractor pay applications and change orders on live construction projects
• Strong understanding of forecast final cost management, variance analysis, and cost-to-complete methodology
• Advanced knowledge of cost control systems and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with data center construction or similar infrastructure projects
• Experience establishing robust cost controls and reporting governance for complex programs
