Senior Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own and manage manufacturing plant financial performance, including manufacturing cost, inventory, CAPEX, and COGS
• Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and standard cost updates
• Support monthly variance analysis for labor, overhead, absorption, material usage, and purchase price
• Identify and validate Continuous Improvement (CI) and savings initiatives in collaboration with Operations and Engineering
• Support month-end closing activities, including inventory reconciliation and WIP review
• Execute calculation and reporting of warranty provisions, inventory reserves, and E&O inventory
• Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and cost center rates in the ERP system
• Lead annual standard cost rolls and ensure alignment with corporate guidelines
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and scrap reporting
• Coordinate CAPEX site-specific requests, spending, and post-implementation ROI validation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance or cost accounting
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, formulas, financial modeling)
• Proficiency with Power BI and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably QAD
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Ability to work independently and build strong partnerships with plant operations and corporate finance teams
