About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering surveillance and technical support for materials-related works across Capital Projects and Operations.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions and new technologies to address non-routine technical problems.
- Advise on equipment strategies and integrity operating windows involving complex corrosion mechanisms.
- Analyze and interpret corrosion data from various sources including coupons, probes, sensors, and inspection reports.
- Lead the design of fit-for-purpose corrosion monitoring programs and review detailed equipment designs.
- Perform risk assessments, root cause failure analysis, and provide recommendations for corrosion or erosion threats.
- Develop, implement, and maintain integrity management systems for new and existing operations.
- Apply fitness-for-service (FFS) methods to pipelines and static equipment to assess damage.
- Mentor early-career materials integrity engineers to support their professional development.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Materials Engineering.
- Proven expertise in one or more of the following: Asset Integrity Management, Materials Selection, Failure Analysis, or Corrosion Control.

- Ability to collaborate across organizations and manage external industry relationships.
- Capability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Demonstrated personal ownership in developing self and others.
- Flexibility to travel internationally to work sites and fabrication locations as required by business needs.
