Senior Corporate Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyse credit and portfolio risk for new and existing customers with lending needs of £2m+
• Conduct detailed financial analysis including evaluation of financial statements, cash flows, market trends, and industry risks
• Assess the creditworthiness of high-value corporate clients, identifying key risks and mitigants
• Structure complex loan facilities aligned with customer needs and risk appetite
• Review and approve credit proposals ensuring regulatory standards are met
• Lead underwriting discussions in credit committee meetings and present to senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a lending environment as a Lending Director or Senior Underwriter
• Expertise in credit analysis or risk management of complex real estate lending
• Advanced financial analysis capability (financial statements, cashflows, market trends)
• Proven ability to structure complex lending solutions
• Strong credit governance and independent decision-making skills
• Confident communicator capable of influencing senior stakeholders and Credit Committees
