Senior Corporate Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyse credit and portfolio risk for new and existing customers with lending needs of £2m+
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including evaluation of financial statements, cash flows, market trends, and industry risks
• Assess the creditworthiness of high-value corporate clients, identifying key risks and mitigants
• Structure complex loan facilities aligned with customer needs and company risk appetite
• Review and approve credit proposals to ensure they meet regulatory standards
• Lead underwriting discussions in credit committee meetings and present recommendations to senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a lending environment as a Lending Director or Senior Underwriter, specifically in complex real estate lending
• Advanced financial analysis capability with expertise in evaluating financial statements and cash flows
• Proven expertise in structuring complex lending solutions
• Strong credit governance and the ability to independently approve high-value credit applications
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to Credit Committees and influencing senior stakeholders
