Senior Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide transactional support and general legal counseling to SIE business functions in APAC
• Act as a strategic thought partner to business, operational, and functional support teams
• Advise on corporate and commercial activities including sales, distribution, marketing, and consumer matters
• Review, draft, and negotiate business agreements and legal documents
• Manage and respond to inquiries or investigations by regulators or law enforcement agencies
• Provide legal advice for global product launches and marketing initiatives on PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus
• Lead and manage members of the APAC legal team
• Manage outside counsel and legal budgets

Requirements

• Law degree with a license to practice in Singapore, England, or another common law jurisdiction
• Minimum 12 years of legal practice experience in-house or at a top-tier law firm
• Familiarity with consumer, product, and advertising laws in APAC countries
• Experience supporting sales and marketing organizations in the consumer electronics or hardware distribution sector
• Demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills in English
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Combination of in-house and top-tier law firm experience in the APAC region
• Ability to speak multiple languages relevant to the APAC region
• Experience working with senior business management
• Experience working in highly matrixed and distributed global organizations
