Senior Controls Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide input to managing controls and automation systems testing, quality control, and data retrieval
• Assist in managing the controls and automation interface for packaging and processing equipment
• Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs
• Provide project engineering support to process areas
• Support manufacturing facility controls and assist plant mechanics in troubleshooting
• Ensure documentation for control/electrical systems and manage change control procedures
• Assist with the development and management of controls-related capital projects
• Contribute to the determination and maintainability of new process control systems

Requirements

• Understanding of automated industrial machinery (motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, etc.)
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID, and PFD
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley MicroLogix and ControlLogix hardware
• Experience with RSLogix5, RSLogix500, and RSLogix5000 software
• Ability to implement and troubleshoot industrial communication networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet)
• Experience with PID Loop tuning and instrument calibration
• General knowledge of the National Electrical Code
