Senior Contracts Officer

Responsibilities

• Review solicitation requirements for items of concern such as OCI, warranties, and past performance
• Prepare and issue RFPs and RFQs to support proposal efforts
• Lead contractual and cost portions of proposal kickoff meetings
• Negotiate complex contract and subcontract transactions to obtain best value
• Conduct cost/price analysis to determine reasonableness and develop pre-negotiation positions
• Administer contracts and subcontracts in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and resolve disputes
• Organize and maintain contract files, databases, and related documentation
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced contracts and procurement staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contract Management, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in contract and subcontract administration, negotiation, and compliance
• Significant experience in government contracting
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations
• Proficiency in contract management systems and financial analysis tools
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Business, Contract Management, or related field
• Professional certifications such as CFCM or CPCM
• Experience with international contracts and multi-jurisdictional compliance
• Familiarity with AI-driven contract management tools or advanced analytics
