Senior Contracts, Cost and Claims Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead contractual and commercial management of the project, ensuring adherence to contract, governance, and defined controls
• Structure and operate change management processes, contractual communications, and formal records
• Act preventively (anti-claim) by identifying contractual risks, deviations, and potential disputes
• Conduct technical and contractual analysis of claims, including fact reconstruction, merit analysis, and responsibility assessment
• Perform forensic schedule and cost analysis to support technical opinions and defense strategies
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations for the client
• Support technical negotiations with contractors and claim settlement processes
• Coordinate and review the work of support professionals

Requirements

• Availability to live and work in Araras/SP
• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related fields
• Solid experience in contractual management for industrial or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in contract administration, change management, and claims/anti-claims resolution
• Strong mastery of construction contracts, responsibilities, and obligations
• Ability to critically interpret baseline schedules, updates, as-built documentation, and formal records
• Experience with causality analysis and schedule impact studies (critical path, concurrent delays)
• Experience with forensic schedule and cost analysis (e.g., AACE, RICS, PMI standards)
• High proficiency in Excel and data analysis applied to contracts
• Experience with project control systems, document management, and dashboards

• Previous experience in high-complexity industrial projects
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Clear and structured communication for executive interaction
