Senior Content Strategist

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of the ACLU's YouTube strategy using SEO-informed editorial strategies
• Project manage end-to-end production of YouTube content, including talent booking and editorial calendaring
• Develop content plans to position the ACLU as a thought leader on YouTube
• Craft and implement creative strategies for advocacy, public education, and live events
• Optimize videos, headlines, metadata, and thumbnails for YouTube
• Monitor and report on strategic insights and video analytics
• Cultivate relationships with YouTube influencers and maintain platform relationships
• Develop and lead trainings for staff for on-camera appearances

Requirements

• Significant experience managing YouTube channel strategies and production
• Expertise in YouTube analytics and SEO best practices
• Experience developing formats for video optimization (headlines, metadata, thumbnails)
• Strong editorial judgment and familiarity with social-video trends
• Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal communication skills
• Creative and hyper-organized approach to project management
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments
