About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute IT-related audit procedures to support financial statement audits and internal controls reporting.
- Manage engagement teams and lead on-site coordination, including planning and briefing staff on client IT environments.
- Provide internal controls attestations, focusing on IT General Controls (ITGCs) and management assertions.
- Issue third-party service organization reports, such as SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports.
- Maintain strong relationships with client management to manage expectations regarding service delivery and value.
- Prepare IT external audit reports detailing the adequacy of control structures and providing practical recommendations for improvement.
- Coach and mentor junior staff members during engagements.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in IT audits, risk assessments, or technology evaluations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Possession of, or progress toward, a relevant accounting or audit designation (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP, or CISM).
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or NIST.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Ability to obtain Government of Canada Secret clearance.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with project management or IT operations within large enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle EBS, or JDE.
- Experience with data and analytics tools such as ACL.
- Background in information security.
