Senior Consultant, Product Management

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Data Domain Data Services, including backup, replication, DR, and archival services.
• Translate customer and market needs into clear requirements, user stories, and use cases for SLA-driven protection and high availability.
• Work closely with Engineering and Architecture to prioritize features, align on design trade-offs, and deliver high-quality releases.
• Define and track service-level metrics and KPIs such as RPO/RTO adherence, availability, and recovery performance.
• Collaborate with Security and Cyber Recovery teams to incorporate immutability and ransomware resilience into data services.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Services to develop positioning, packaging, pricing, and sales enablement materials.
• Engage directly with customers and partners to validate use cases and refine priorities for mission-critical workloads.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in product management within data protection, storage, infrastructure, or cloud services.
• Deep understanding of backup and recovery concepts, including policy-based protection, retention, and scheduling.
• Strong expertise in SLA-driven protection (RPO/RTO) and high availability, including replication and failover/failback workflows.
• Hands-on familiarity with long-term retention and archival patterns, including archival to object storage and direct-to-object architectures.
• Understanding of storage protocols including NFS, CIFS, S3, and VTL.
• Experience with enterprise workloads (databases, file/NAS, VMs) and security concepts like immutability and air-gapped copies.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and articulate complex technical value to stakeholders.
