Senior Consultant or Manager SAS Migration Expert - Financial Sector

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current architectures and analyze existing SAS programs (ETL, reporting, data management) to define migration objectives and optimization opportunities.
• Lead scoping workshops with business and IT teams to define target architectures and migration plans using solutions like SAS Viya, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Define, plan, and implement SAS 9 migration strategies, including detailed roadmaps, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Design and execute data migration processes, supervising the conversion of programs and data while implementing automation tools to accelerate the transition.
• Ensure solution performance and compliance by establishing testing protocols to validate data integrity and program functionality post-migration.
• Conduct technological watch to anticipate evolutions and propose continuous improvements to data workflows and pipelines.

Requirements

• 3 to 8 years of experience in Data & AI, ideally within consulting for the financial or insurance sectors.
• Proven expertise in SAS environments and successful experience migrating SAS environments to modern platforms (SAS Viya, Dataiku, Python, Databricks, or Snowflake).
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience using versioning tools such as Git.
• Fluency in English is essential for communicating with international teams and clients.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Lean) and project management concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAS or Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with SAS Web solutions.
• Knowledge of the regulatory landscape in banking, insurance, or asset management.
