Senior Consultant - EMEIA Indirect Tax Compliance

Responsibilities

• Act as a central point of contact for international clients regarding European VAT and compliance
• Monitor and provide feedback on the quality of client indirect tax data and reports using AI and other technologies
• Review and approve indirect tax returns
• Follow up on legislative and business changes to ensure client systems and processes remain updated
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve VAT compliance processes and data quality
• Coordinate VAT compliance advisory, technology, controversy, and audit support
• Supervise and coach junior team members

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in economics or an equivalent field
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in EMEIA VAT compliance
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong data analytics skills and interest in data interrogation and AI
• Basic understanding of IT systems and VAT/GST reporting solutions
• Strong communication and problem-resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional European language skills
• Supplementary degree in fiscal matters
• Basic understanding of statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance
