Senior Consultant – Data Strategy, Governance & DataOps

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements to design and implement integrated data frameworks covering privacy, analytics, and AI readiness.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to embed privacy-by-design into workflows.
• Design enterprise-wide data classification, lineage, and mapping frameworks for compliance and analytics.
• Analyze end-to-end data flows across M365, Azure, SaaS, and on-prem systems to identify risks and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align governance policies with DataOps practices, including pipeline observability and metadata management.
• Support the design of cloud-based data architectures using tools like Azure Synapse, Purview, and Data Factory.
• Facilitate client workshops on data governance maturity, AI ethics, and DataOps adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in data privacy, governance, data architecture, or DataOps, ideally within consulting or regulated industries.
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 27701.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data platforms, including Purview, Synapse, or Azure Data Factory.
• Understanding of DataOps principles, including data pipeline automation, testing, monitoring, and versioning.
• Proven experience in data classification and lineage mapping.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for legal and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM.
• ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer or Auditor credentials.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
• Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, or responsible AI frameworks.
• Experience with data observability tools like Great Expectations or Monte Carlo.
• Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
