Senior Consultant - Commercial Management

Responsibilities

• Support project management teams with contract administration, including change control, compensation events, and variations.
• Manage and maintain contractual registers such as Early Warning Notices (EWN), General Communications (GC), and Compensation Events (CE).
• Perform cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting, including the preparation of CVRs and cashflow updates.
• Assist in the maintenance of commercial risk registers and the identification of project entitlements.
• Coordinate with PMO and Project Controls teams to align commercial data with project schedules.
• Utilize digital tools like Excel and Power BI to maintain structured commercial trackers and dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• 6–10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or Commercial Management.
• Proven experience with UK-based projects and international team collaboration.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Proficiency in NRM and CESMM measurement standards.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables) and experience with Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional membership or qualification such as RICS or APM.
• Experience working on Rail, Roads, Civils, Water, or large-scale Infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in CostX (2D/3D/5D) and exposure to BIM/5D digital workflows.
• Experience using ERP systems and structured cost databases.
