Senior Consultant - Cloud - Build (Software Engineering)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project proposals and technical delivery as a senior technology consultant
• Design and implement well-architected, scalable, and reliable systems tailored to client needs
• Translate complex business outcomes into actionable technical requirements
• Communicate project goals, requirements, and work status to both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Write technical designs and documentation while providing guidance and training to clients
• Define work scope, project planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation for workstreams
• Apply consulting techniques such as hypothesis-driven analysis and research to technical challenges

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional consulting or professional services experience
• At least 5 years of proven experience in building software infrastructure and/or platforms
• Demonstrable experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Hands-on experience with modern backend technologies (e.g., NodeJS/TypeScript, JVM-based, Python, or Go) or frontend/full-stack frameworks (e.g., .NET, Angular, React, or Vue)
• Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures
• Expertise in software design patterns such as Domain Driven Design (DDD) or Model-View-Controller (MVC)
• Experience designing data models and working with RDBMS and NoSQL systems
• Business fluent Japanese and conversational English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Helm
• Experience delivering projects related to AI, developer platforms, or data platforms
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Engineer, or Azure Developer)
• Understanding of various SDLC approaches, including Agile and Waterfall
• Industry experience in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, or financial services
