Senior Consultant - Cloud - Build (Platform Engineering)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project proposals and technical delivery as a senior technology consultant
• Design and implement well-architected, scalable, and reliable cloud systems tailored to client needs
• Communicate project goals, requirements, and work status effectively to both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Define work scope, project planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation for workstreams
• Write technical designs and documentation while providing guidance and training to clients
• Apply consulting techniques and reference architectures to solve complex, ambiguous technical challenges

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional consulting or professional services experience
• At least 5 years of proven experience in building software infrastructure and/or platforms
• Demonstrable experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Hands-on expertise in DevOps culture, tooling, and delivery practices
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Deep experience with container technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
• Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or CloudWatch
• Business fluent Japanese and conversational English

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in two or more major cloud providers
• Experience with platform engineering concepts and IDP technologies like Backstage
• Knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps practices
• Experience building serverless computing and event-driven architectures
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Engineer)
• Industry experience in sectors such as finance, retail, manufacturing, or entertainment
