Senior Construction Safety Professional

Responsibilities

• Act as an owner's representative at a large data center construction site to oversee EHS programs and environmental compliance
• Monitor and advise on the client's EHS culture and support the implementation of regulatory requirements
• Independently develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs to reduce risk and exposures
• Supervise personnel engaged in EHS functions and monitor for potential hazards in the work area
• Review and advise on Contractor Environmental Health and Safety Plans (CEHSP) for conformance with owner requirements
• Interface with construction management by providing accurate data on EHS performance, including KPIs and incident management
• Conduct site safety walks and evaluate the effectiveness of contractor hazard assessments (RAMS, JHAs, etc.)
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and workplace hazard complaints
• Spend a minimum of 60% of working hours in the field engaging, coaching, and walking the site

Requirements

• BS/BA degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in construction safety or a related field
• Experience in environmental compliance and industry standards
• Valid Driver's License with ability to pass a motor vehicle records review
• US citizenship is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center construction or operation experience
• Experience overseeing a variety of construction trades
• NFPA 70E Certification or OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training
• OSHA Authorized Trainer status
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar professional certifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management
