Senior Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale construction projects within the education sector
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation aligned with Department for Education requirements
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders
• Implement project governance and processes adhering to public sector best practice
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Monitor project finances and manage change control processes
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and procurement standards
• Mentor junior project managers to maintain chartered standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrable experience managing large-scale construction projects in the education sector
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and industry best practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a consultancy environment
• Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification
