Senior Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple data center development projects from inception to closeout, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, communicating effectively with both technical and management-level personnel.
• Review project plans, requirements, specifications, and contractor pay applications.
• Prepare RFPs and support the contractor selection and contract award processes.
• Work with contractors to establish CPM baseline schedules and perform resource analyses to identify potential bottlenecks.
• Identify project risks, gaps, and opportunities, providing mitigation recommendations to stakeholders.
• Facilitate and chair project meetings, including OAC meetings, and maintain accurate minutes and action items.
• Support business development efforts through strategy development, positioning, and contract negotiation.
• Perform financial and technical appraisals, feasibility studies, and site surveys.

Requirements

• 15+ years of construction and project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management, or a related technical field.
• Excellent understanding of construction, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, contract management, and project delivery methods.
• Proven experience in client-facing roles with the ability to communicate complex technical progress to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (including PowerPoint and Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Construction Management or a BSc in Construction Engineering.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Strong background specifically in data center development and construction.
• Active membership in PMI, CCMA, or similar professional associations.
