Senior Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, organization, and execution of capital projects
• Lead coordination of construction project logistical tasks and timelines
• Oversee financial management for projects exceeding $20MM
• Conduct frequent site visits to ensure quality control and monitor performance
• Develop RFPs and negotiate terms with professional entities
• Interface with local and state agencies regarding permits and inspections
• Liaise with outside contractors regarding bidding, scheduling, and billing
• Manage review process of all project design documents, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare project status reports for leadership and stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in construction
• 5 years of experience in building e-commerce fulfillment or distribution centers
• Proven history negotiating contracts for facility expansion
• Understanding of Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) codes
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Significant knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws related to facility buildouts
• Ability to travel heavily to all sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the food industry
