Senior Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact and advisor to the program team for all construction management matters
• Manage the construction site on the client side, coordinating external CM teams and general contractors
• Ensure execution quality, schedule adherence, cost targets, and strict occupational safety compliance
• Monitor compliance with HSE requirements and intervene in safety-critical situations when necessary
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify safety, order, cleanliness, and adherence to specifications
• Review execution plans, schedules, method statements, and safety documentation
• Interface between projects, operations, facility management, and other internal initiatives
• Support change orders, claims, and the evaluation of external services
• Document site diaries, deviations, defects, and construction progress

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, architecture, building services engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in construction management, ideally within regulated environments such as pharma, chemical, or healthcare
• Proven experience in managing external CM mandates or general contractors
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, construction site logistics, and site organization
• Confident handling of Swiss standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes
• Very good fluency in both German and English
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a solution-oriented mindset
