Senior Construction Environmental Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and oversight of environmental programs across UK project development to ensure compliance with legislation and Universal standards.
• Oversee environmental requirements across all project phases, focusing on contractor and supply chain performance regarding emissions, waste, chemicals, and water quality.
• Coordinate Environmental Affairs during design and construction phases, ensuring mitigation measures are effectively implemented on site.
• Support environmental compliance and permitting activities, including engagement with UK regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency and Natural England.
• Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and performance monitoring, including KPI tracking and incident management.
• Partner with project teams and stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and support the transition to operations post-opening.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Understanding of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and risk assessment processes.
• Experience managing environmental compliance within a construction or large-scale project environment.
