Senior Construction Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide oversight of regional and project cost control functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Direct the development of cost control systems, including project cost reports, forecasts, and change management procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers and financial teams to monitor cost data, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Present monthly and quarterly cost performance reports to senior leadership, utilizing earned value analysis (EVA).
• Oversee project performance against budgets and schedules across multiple sites to identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Manage the preparation of project proposals, estimates, and budgets to ensure accurate financial projections.
• Supervise the management of change orders and ensure documentation integrity across all regional projects.
• Review and approve contractor invoices and payment applications in alignment with contractual terms.
• Mentor and develop junior cost control personnel to foster technical growth and career progression.

Requirements

• 10+ years of cost control or cost engineering experience in construction or infrastructure industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in the development and construction of hyperscale data centers or similar large-scale, mission-critical projects.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of cost forecasting, variance analysis, and project financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must have a current US work permit (sponsorship is not provided).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, or Engineering Management.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and integrated risk-cost-schedule methodologies.
• Active membership in professional associations such as PMI or AACE.
