Senior Configuration Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and prepare customer equipment including PCs, servers, and network gear for shipment
• Follow detailed specifications to ensure 100% accuracy on configuration check-off lists
• Track and record inventory and update project status, schedules, and deliverables
• Interface with customers and vendors to gather configuration requirements and troubleshoot DOA or damaged equipment
• Maintain Configuration Lab organization and assist with lifting and packaging of boxes
• Provide limited field technician support and occasional travel for installations or training

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and VMware Hypervisor
• Basic PC troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
• Exposure to LAN/WAN environments and basic terminology
• Experience with rack and stack, labeling, and cabling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Physically able to lift PCs, servers, peripherals, and network equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Configuration Lab experience
• Field installation experience involving low voltage infrastructure
• LAN/WAN, Microsoft, or CCNA certifications
