Senior Computer Aided Measuring Specialist (Loft Tooling)

Responsibilities

• Provide computer-aided measurement services including measurement collection, dimensional analysis, reporting, and modeling.
• Lead teams through task applications and provide training and deployment facilitation.
• Support fabrication for tooling, emergent products, production, prototype, and engineering operations.
• Utilize Verisurf 3D metrology software to perform high-level system maintenance and consultation.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data to develop conclusions and recommendations.
• Manipulate data sets using CAD/CAM tools (e.g., CATIA, Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics) to compare measurement data to design models.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, including forming, stamping, machining, and N/C programming, to select optimal production methods.
• Travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with laser trackers or a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).
• 3+ years of experience operating Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM).
• 3+ years of experience with metrology software such as Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer, or Verisurf.
• 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, assembly, and fabrication environments.
• Proficiency using CATIA and other computer-aided design (CAD) tools for mechanical component design.
• Experience with 5-Axis and 3-Axis NC/CNC Milling Machines.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
