Senior Compute Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate internal and external-facing computing infrastructure in on-premise and cloud environments
• Design and implement automated tools for hosting software applications reliably and securely
• Develop infrastructure-as-code software to support platform and application workloads
• Deploy, operate, monitor, and migrate business applications
• Manage third-party SaaS applications and respond to security incidents
• Document system architecture, procedures, and protocols

Requirements

• 5+ years of directly relevant experience
• Extensive experience with Windows, Linux, and MacOS system administration
• Proficiency with IaC and configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) and containerized hosting platforms
• Experience designing and improving networks (IPv4, switching, routing, firewalls)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to work on-site in Portland, OR

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience supporting IoT software and hardware development teams
• Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster administration
• Experience with engineering-focused software like Siemens NX or Ansys
• Experience with vulnerability management and security analysis
