Senior Compositor

Responsibilities

• Combine live action and computer generated elements into visual effects shots to realize the creative vision of the client and VFX Supervisor
• Use artistic and technical skills to evaluate approaches for assigned shots, including 2D tracking, matte extraction, and color grading
• Create high-quality complete shots that maintain overall look, color balance, and uniformity across sequences
• Collaborate with the team to determine aesthetic solutions and provide feedback during regular dailies
• Mentor Apprentice and Junior Artists by assisting them with their shots
• Work to meet defined milestones within production timelines and participate in creative problem-solving

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant experience in feature film compositing
• Proficiency in Nuke
• A showreel demonstrating high-level compositing skills
• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or C++
• Ability to write Nuke gizmos
• Strong foundation in fine arts, such as photography, photographic lighting, composition, color, and design
