Senior Component Systems Engineer, Camera Sensors

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage component-level technical requirements throughout the program development lifecycle
• Lead technical collaboration with component suppliers as the internal technical expert
• Ensure components comply with performance KPIs, safety, and reliability specifications
• Collaborate with Design Release and Systems Engineers to ensure seamless integration
• Validate component functionality through hands-on testing at bench and vehicle levels
• Lead issue resolution with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in automotive component design, development, and integration
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Optoelectronics
• Knowledge of optical systems and camera component design
• Experience with machine vision camera design and integration
• Understanding of high-throughput Image Signal Processing (ISP) pipelines
• Experience with automotive protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, GMSL, and FPD-Link
• Proficiency in Linux and scripting with Python or C++
• Familiarity with NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin / Thor architecture
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators)
• Proficiency with Vector tools (CANoe, CANape, vFlash)
• Experience with automotive environmental, EMI, and shock/vibration testing
• Familiarity with DVP&R, DFMEA, and PFMEA
• Experience with JIRA, Polarion, or Confluence
• Understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in automotive vision sensor hardware/software integration or ADAS technologies
• Experience in an autonomous vehicle or robotics company
