Senior Component Buyer

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for aircraft components to support Qantas Engineering
• Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships with contracted and non-contracted vendors
• Resolve supply and inventory issues and expedite critical orders
• Use data and insights to identify trends and procurement improvement opportunities
• Investigate quality and service issues and provide guidance to team members

Requirements

• Sound knowledge and experience in a purchasing or procurement function
• Experience in supply chain operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing supplier relationships and contracts
• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience sourcing aircraft components or technical materials
• Experience working with procurement systems and buying processes
