About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for aircraft components to support Qantas Engineering
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships with contracted and non-contracted vendors
- Resolve supply and inventory issues and expedite critical orders
- Use data and insights to identify trends and procurement improvement opportunities
- Investigate quality and service issues and provide guidance to team members
Requirements
- Sound knowledge and experience in a purchasing or procurement function
- Experience in supply chain operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing supplier relationships and contracts
- Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing aircraft components or technical materials
- Experience working with procurement systems and buying processes
