About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform compliance monitoring of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Conduct peer workpaper reviews and sample monitoring to ensure the accuracy of findings.
- Aggregate findings quarterly and disseminate monitoring reports as outlined in the Compliance Plan.
- Research and respond to compliance inquiries from market, operational, and compliance staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new monitoring programs and workpaper templates.
- Support regulatory examinations and internal audits by compiling requested data and responding to examiner questions.
- Participate in compliance projects and assist with the implementation of new or updated regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 5-7 years of compliance experience within a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Jack Henry Silverlake, Encompass, Baker Hill, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective oral and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
- CRCM, CAMS, CFIRS, or APRP certifications.
