About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct compensation analyses and benchmarking using survey data to assess market competitiveness for India-based roles
- Support the development and maintenance of salary structures, pay bands, and job leveling frameworks
- Assist with annual compensation cycles, including merit, promotion, and salary review processes
- Partner with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation guidance on offers, promotions, and internal transfers
- Identify and flag pay compression or equity issues and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and analyses to support data-driven decision-making
- Maintain compensation data in the HRIS and ensure accuracy across systems and tools
- Collaborate with Finance and HR Operations to support budgeting and reporting for India compensation programs
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or HR analytics
- Solid understanding of compensation fundamentals, including job evaluation and pay structure design
- Experience with compensation survey tools such as Mercer, Aon/Radford, WTW, or Zinnov
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
- Familiarity with India compensation practices and statutory benefits (PF, gratuity, etc.)
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors
- Ability to provide some overlap with US Central Time hours for global collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a tech company or a PE-backed, high-growth organization
- Exposure to global or multi-country compensation programs
- Certification in compensation (e.g., CCP, GRP)
- Experience supporting equity or incentive plan administration
