About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic compensation consultant and trusted advisor to People & Culture Business Partners and senior leaders
- Align compensation approaches with business needs to drive talent attraction, development, and retention
- Provide expertise on job architecture, job family structures, and organizational design
- Support implementation of job evaluation and compliance with federal and provincial pay equity legislation
- Manage the annual compensation program, including market benchmarking, merit-based increases, and incentive programs
- Support M&A integrations by analyzing business case impacts and aligning with total rewards strategies
- Lead compensation projects from initial assessment through to implementation, including policy design and change management
- Prepare complex data analyses and presentations for executive audiences
Requirements
- Progressive experience in compensation analyst or consultant roles, or HR generalist roles with deep compensation knowledge
- Strong experience using Workday or SuccessFactors HRIS compensation modules
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to decipher complex data sets and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- CPHR/CRHA or CCP designation (or currently working towards them)
- Experience with pay equity and provincial legislation nuances
- Project management experience leading transformational compensation programs
- Change management expertise and experience creating compensation tools
- Bilingualism in English and French
