Senior Communications Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational communications for the Finance Office to build awareness of Workday updates and business process improvements
• Translate complex financial system changes and process redesigns into clear, audience-appropriate content
• Manage a portfolio of communication channels including newsletters, email announcements, and web content
• Serve as the primary owner of the Finance Office’s web and intranet presence, ensuring content is accurate and well-organized
• Develop and maintain a knowledge management strategy, including a library of Workday help content, FAQs, and standard operating procedures
• Conduct regular content audits and establish governance processes for digital knowledge assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Finance and ITS to support change management and user adoption

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Information Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 4-6 years of progressive experience in communications, content management, or knowledge management
• Demonstrated experience managing intranet or CMS platforms such as SharePoint or Confluence
• Proven ability to develop diverse written materials including newsletters, web copy, and process documentation
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva
• Experience supporting change communications or user adoption for ERP/HRIS implementations

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience in a higher education or finance environment
• Familiarity with Workday Financials or comparable enterprise financial systems
