Senior Communications Operator

Responsibilities

• Train and support communications staff, including conducting in-service training and reviewing emergency response procedures
• Monitor daily switchboard operations, call volumes, and service levels
• Maintain and update switchboard, on-call, and paging databases
• Monitor hospital alarm systems and coordinate emergency communication procedures, including fire alarms and cardiac arrest response systems
• Conduct quality assurance activities to monitor workflow, customer service standards, and operational efficiency
• Perform administrative duties such as policy documentation and pager maintenance coordination

Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School or a recognized equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a Customer Service or Healthcare environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and multi-tasking abilities
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer Service training
• Completion of Leadership Courses
