About the role
Responsibilities
- Train and support communications staff, including conducting in-service training and reviewing emergency response procedures
- Monitor daily switchboard operations, call volumes, and service levels
- Maintain and update switchboard, on-call, and paging databases
- Monitor hospital alarm systems and coordinate emergency communication procedures, including fire alarms and cardiac arrest response systems
- Conduct quality assurance activities to monitor workflow, customer service standards, and operational efficiency
- Perform administrative duties such as policy documentation and pager maintenance coordination
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School or a recognized equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a Customer Service or Healthcare environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer Service training
- Completion of Leadership Courses
