Senior Communications Manager, Vice President

Responsibilities

• Execute Canada's external communications strategy, including media relations, press releases, and media pitches.
• Develop messaging, briefing documents, and speaking notes for senior executives.
• Manage proactive engagement with key media outlets and build a strong pipeline of social media activity.
• Develop and execute internal engagement plans, managing communication channels such as newsletters and the intranet.
• Plan and manage employee engagement events and community affairs programs.
• Handle administrative tasks including contracts, invoices, and compliance with Citi policies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Communications and Public Relations (in-house or agency).
• Proven track record in media relations and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in the financial sector or within a complex multinational organization is preferred.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
• Excellent writing, editing, and digital content creation skills.
• Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business management, or a related field.
• Fluency in English is required; French fluency is a strong plus.
