Senior Commodity Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-dimensional global category strategies to improve cost, quality, service, lead time, and security of supply.
• Analyze spend data and market trends to prioritize and launch strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Negotiate pricing and manage contract execution in collaboration with legal teams.
• Lead strategic global cross-functional commodity teams and manage the supplier selection process.
• Facilitate the setup of contract manufacturers within the supplier portfolio.
• Conduct periodic business reviews and manage long-term relationships with key suppliers.
• Provide leadership to engineering teams regarding component supplier technology roadmaps for semiconductor components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, supply chain management, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience specifically as a Commodity Manager.
• Strong knowledge of the electronic contract manufacturing industry and global supply chains for electronic components.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead in an indirect-control environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPM, or equivalent advanced degrees/certifications.
• Direct experience sourcing electronic or semiconductor components.
• Experience working with semiconductor chip manufacturers or distributors.
• Proficiency in managing cross-cultural business practices, particularly within Asia.
