Senior Commissioning Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the commissioning and qualification (C&Q) phase for major pharmaceutical CAPEX projects at the new Sisslerfeld site.
• Develop and enhance commissioning concepts, strategies, and execution models using lean-based workflows.
• Manage the complete commissioning process, including pre-commissioning, cold/hot commissioning, testing, and start-up.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external commissioning teams while monitoring schedules, costs, quality, and risks.
• Collaborate with the Qualification Manager and interdisciplinary teams across Engineering, Automation, Quality, Operations, and HSE.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with GMP/GDP, GAMP, and HSE requirements, including conducting risk analyses and hazard assessments.
• Develop, review, and approve technical documents, test plans, logs, and checklists.
• Support qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and contribute to the standardization of internal company guidelines.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Pharmaceutical, or a similar field).
• Extensive professional experience in commissioning or C&Q, ideally within large-scale pharma or biotech projects.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, technical standards, and plant commissioning processes.
• Proven experience leading and coordinating interdisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of HSE requirements, risk analyses, and safety-related processes.
• Knowledge of lean methods such as pull planning, visual management, or takt planning.
• Fluency in both German and English.
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and high problem-solving competence.
