About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of commissioning test procedures including pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, and integrated systems tests
- Review and provide input on commissioning test scripts, MOPs, punch lists, and turnover documentation
- Serve as a field-level technical resource for troubleshooting electrical or controls disciplines
- Coordinate with trade contractors and subcontractors to schedule and support on-site commissioning activities
- Verify installation conditions against approved drawings, submittals, and specifications
- Track and drive closure of open deficiencies and maintain accurate commissioning records
- Support integrated systems testing and reliability demonstrations for critical MEP and EPMS infrastructure
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to Junior CxE team members
- Adhere to and enforce site safety protocols and compliance requirements
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data center commissioning, building systems, or critical infrastructure construction
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Solid understanding of data center systems including power distribution and EPMS systems
- Working knowledge of commissioning levels L1 through L5
- Ability to independently execute and troubleshoot functional and integrated system tests
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications
- Willingness to travel to project sites (up to 75% travel)
