Senior Commissary Keeper

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute daily commissary operations, ensuring food is prepared, stored, and distributed safely and timely.
• Supervise, train, and manage the commissary staff, including hiring and scheduling.
• Manage food preparation according to the specific dietary needs and nutritional requirements of various animal species.
• Maintain strict health and safety standards in all food preparation and storage areas to prevent contamination.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, managing inventory levels and procuring supplies within budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and animal care teams to assess dietary requirements and update feeding plans.
• Maintain detailed documentation regarding food purchases, inventory, feeding schedules, and waste.

Requirements

• High school diploma; a background in nutrition or a related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work, including lifting at least 50 pounds repetitively.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team.
